The Day Dawn

One of the earliest books written for the use of the early Bible Students was The Day Dawn, written by John Paton, an early associate of Charles T. Russell. This was first published in 1880. Paton later broke with the Bible Students, and altered the text of his book to reflect the apostate views he had espoused. The book "Jehovah's Witnesses - Proclaimers Of God's Kingdom" on page 670 refers to this, and shows that Paton had been a travelling overseer, but after his break with the Watch Tower published a second edition of The Day Dawn. The book presented here is the original 1880 edition, written before his apostasy.
